Frank William Boreham was an English-born preacher who made his reputation in New Zealand and Australia.
Several of his books and sermons were well regarded. Of course, your opinion of such thoughts might depend on your religious inclination. He did, however, say at least one thing everyone, pious or not, might privately hope was true.
“Every man has a genius for something or other,” he said. “I have a genius for a comfortable armchair and a blazing fire . . . I can talk to my heart’s content without seeming garrulous, and, when in the mood, can remain as silent as the Sphinx without appearing sullen.”
